I breakfasted outside in the courtyard wrapped in a snuggly blanket. 
I painted with the morning sun on my back, a cat scooting around the garden behind me and my Matt dude typing away at the other end of the room. 
There was tea.
There was happy feelings.
I vacuumed (proper idiot).
I showered. It was exhausting, but I feel better now.

I'm done.
So very done.

Back in bed with my old pal Tramadol, a bunch of water, a snack (not me, the other type of snack) and nothing but time to rest and attempt to relax this flinching, jittery meat suit/body.

As many of you guys might know, we’ve been really scaling up Cyrus’ muzzle training to help prepare him for future vet visits.

Cyrus is used to walking past plenty of birds and geese but this was the first time we had so many walking so close to us!

This is why we train every day, to practice for the tests of daily life.

Between the dogs and birds we had an afternoon full of plenty of distractions and even had several people practice some basic handling exercises he’ll face during your average vet visit and he did great!

Just like anything else you might be struggling with, whether it’s obedience or a problem behavior, practice makes perfect. Each time we get out there we progress that much further.

Too hard. Too fast. Too soon. I’ve apparently learned nothing from my repeated push-backs against hustle culture.⠀

More aptly put, slamming into Social Media, content marketing, and distribution to network my ass off is a bad habit I fall into way…way…way too easily.⠀

I started to look for a solution, and since I’m fascinated by AI, I decided to give it a go.⠀

Why do we have a fear of change?
Your internal self-corrective mechanism is like a thermostat. It pulls you back to your current set point; your current life. 
Even if it is comfortably uncomfortable! 
Any change we contemplate making, whether it’s in finances, career, relationships or committing to our personal development and growth, takes us out of our comfort zone. 
When this happens, a chemical signal enters our nervous system. 
Our brain picks up the signal as doubt, fear or anxiety and interprets it as a danger signal. 
The doubt prompts us to make whatever adjustments necessary to return us to our previous state. 
Your fear of change can stop your progress.
While this innate mechanism was helpful in days gone by – when we were living in survival mode and had a genuine threat of being chased by a wild animal, today it stifles growth, stops you changing and becoming a better version of yourself, and cripples opportunities.

Why do we have a fear of change? Your internal self-corrective mechanism is like a thermostat. It pulls you back to your current set point; your current life. Even if it is comfortably uncomfortable! Any change we contemplate making, whether it’s in finances, career, relationships or committing to our personal development and growth, takes us out of our comfort zone. When this happens, a chemical signal enters our nervous system. Our brain picks up the signal as doubt, fear or anxiety and interprets it as a danger signal. The doubt prompts us to make whatever adjustments necessary to return us to our previous state. Your fear of change can stop your progress. While this innate mechanism was helpful in days gone by – when we were living in survival mode and had a genuine threat of being chased by a wild animal, today it stifles growth, stops you changing and becoming a better version of yourself, and cripples opportunities. Behind these eyes is a burned out dog mom with a physical body stuck in fight, flight or freeze mode which is turning my life upside down and wrecking me physically. 💔💭💗💧💧💧
As you know I began using fitness and working out to move myself into new levels of wellness and beat chronic illness! Epic fuckin fail!! I have been working out almost daily since last September, October. It turns out that you can run your system into the ground when it's already fragile and overwhelmed. I crashed in a big way and the wreckage of my physical body is intense.. So, Im right back at step one in my healing. The mind, body, spirit connection, nervous system, physiology of stress & stress response is my life's work!!! Knowledge in the brain doesnt compute to real life. Living it day to day. Grrrrrr... We are alive because we have a beautiful, vibrant life force flowing though us. This life force flows through our physical body through pathways called chakras and meridians and it flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. 
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field and causes  the  negative  energy to  fall  away. Reiki clears, strengthens and heals  the energy pathways, allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way. We are all born with the innate capacity to heal. Allowing ourselves to connect to the ‘healer’ within offers a wonderful way to deepen your connection to yourself, your family, friends and clients. Reiki is a non-invasive, peaceful and powerful form of energy healing.

During  Reiki  Level  1  training,  individuals  will  learn  the  history  of  Reiki  and understand the basics of the human energy field. This book.😲 Full Catastrophe Living by Jon Kabat-Zinn is rocking my world, you guys. 🙃 I have long-known about mindfulness, but have never viewed it the way he explains in this book. He developed a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program [using the wisdom of your body and mind to face stress, pain, and illness] that is used in hospitals around the country and is now in book form. We take care of our body with good nutrition, what about taking care of our mind with meditation and mindfulness practice. I’ve neglected this for a while now and after the last few weeks of chaos in the town it’s time to reconnect. 10 minutes of meditation this morning was exactly what I needed, now to try to get back to yoga this week ❤️ #mindfulness #meditation #healthymind ##stress #anxiety #selfcare 🙏
