[Frankly speaking the trip to Bhutan again became a mockery of my so called 'expedition to the land of thunderstorms'. The vibrant soul on Saturday was reduced to a dejected beast the next day when we were informed that the passes weren't available for weekends. All we could do was visit Phuntsoling and return back, such a beautiful day it was. Dejection grew stronger when we returned back to Jaigaon and it was just 10:30 am and had nowhereelse to go. We were then going back home. But some masterplan started brewing up after we finished our lunch in a local Dhabha near the highway connecting Assam. We channelled all of our frustration to cover Dooars, come what may (hahaha). Nagarkata, Binaguri, Chalsa, Jaldapara, Lataguri, Gorumara, and so far we went, I could literally see 'Welcome to Kalimpong district' board. Kumani, Jholong, Bindu and so on we passed by. From Alipurduar to Jalpaiguri, and then Kalimpong was a substantial transition: Terrains of every type, the cultural mix, forests and long highways all intersected to incite this inner self and gave a rough estimate of the places that could be trekked later. Rachela pass is obviously on the list. Carpe Diem!]
