So I’m always looking for quick and healthy breakfasts he can eat in the car. Sound familiar to anyone? Or maybe you’re the one who eats on the go?

Cue breakfast muffins. They are insanely easy to prep on a weeknight and the varieties are endless. My usual go-to are egg muffins, but lately I’ve been into oatmeal muffins! Throw whatever combo of berries and nuts you want in there and you won’t be disappointed.

People keep asking me “so, what’s the postpartum fitness plan look like?” 🙄

I know they mean well, but the answer is “um, my postpartum plan is mostly SURVIVAL based, not ego based... so fitness will come back into the plan when I’m ready.”

I mean, yes... I want to look like I did in this picture again. Sure, I miss my abs. But am I going to kill myself to get them back immediately? That’s a hard N🚫PE.

Last time, I thought I’d bounce back to working out in a month. That did not happen - recovery was wayyy more difficult than I realized. Luckily, I was extremely fit going into delivery so I didn’t have that far to bounce... that’s the key.

In the meantime... excited for tonight, cuz I’m attending a special @SoulCycle x @SakaraLife ride and I’m pretty pumped about it. Follow along on my stories... this mama ain’t slowin’ down just yet!

Rise + Shine! Made creamsicle smoothies for my family today. Components- 3 oranges + 2 bananas + 8 oz coconut water + ts vanilla extract + 6 ice cubes. It's a dreamy fruity concoction that reminds me of childhood but offers loads of vitamins and nutrients. Add pineapple for a tropical 🌴 twist. 💛✌🏻

one of the first things i ever learned about food photography was to avoid direct sunlight like the freaking devil, because it’d mess up your shot. but something about the way these shadows make a mood and the way the light bounces off my coffee is magnetic. like you can imagine me sitting down for breakfast while starting to look at work for the day. i’m cultivating such a huge appreciation for the story that one photo can tell. some of my favorite photogs on insta right now— who speak a million words just through a picture — are: @thaliaho @sammyjaneeason @blackwhitevivid @shutthekaleup @balancewithb 🙏 i feel like you can read emotion and texture and context and LIFE through such a simple little square & they do it so well (there are many more i could share too!!). ANYWAY, these waffles were dank. super easy, recipe below 👇 -

1 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 tbsp maple syrup 
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup almond flour
1 tbsp coconut flour 
sprinkle cinnamon and salt. 
mix well and use a waffle iron to cook! makes about 3 smol waffles

At the end of last year I attended the Social Media Takeover by @lindsayteague I learned a bunch about how to give you guys great content and still be myself. I’ve always loved Instagram because it’s life in pictures and I didn’t want that to change but I want to inspire as well. This course was one of the best things I’ve invested in.

My focus is on women that have put themselves on the back burner for so long they’ve forgotten who they are. Or life has taken them over and they can’t seem to get some back. I get you! I am you! A long weekend to remember 💗 Between finding my wedding dress (ah!) to sharing alittledough.com I‘m feeling full of excitement for what’s to come. Don‘t be fooled, neither of these are as glam as it may sound on insta! Who knew wedding dress shopping would be so exhausting or making a website could have so many technical difficulties🙈 But all so worth it. ⁣
Ok, back to food! I made this Beetroot London Fog last week and really loved the taste, it was like nothing I‘d ever had. It had a bright magenta color, was slightly sweet with hints of vanilla, and underlying earthy tones. But! I know it‘s different than the traditional London Fog (simply earl grey with steamed milk!) so I wasn’t sure about sharing. Anyone interested in how I make it? Let me know in the comments!⁣

I haven’t gotten any comments on this (so thank you for understanding me humans!!!) but I just wanted to be clear about what I mean by #shedforthepreg. No, it does not mean I’m trying to lose weight while I’m pregnant! 😂 If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that SHED stands for soulful, healthy, eating decisions! And that applies for weddings, pregnancies, and all times of life really! So what I’m basically saying is eat healthy things that are good for the soul! And sometimes things that are good for the soul are not always “health food” but allowing for them occasionally is healthy too!⠀

Also further clarification, as of right now there is only the #shedforthewed program. There are 2 months of the program with slightly different guidelines so when I say #shedapproved or #month1shedapproved I’m referring to the Shed for the Wed program! (Link in bio to shop programs!) This is also why my variations are often not 100% shed approved—I’m allowing for my cravings and extra food that needs to be consumed daily! Eventually we may expand to pregnancy- but as of right now I’m just talking to you lovely brides to be! ⠀

Just discovered sorghum ... maybe I’m a little behind but now I’m aware that it exist and it definitely deserves more attention. It has more antioxidants than blueberries, it is high in protein and fiber, and has no gluten 🌿

#TransformationTuesday isn’t just about body changes, but mental ones too. This photo was taken after one of those classes where you had to de-clothe to make it through. The thing is-I’ve been in these types of classes before but NEVER took my shirt off. I’ve been working on getting back to my best self since October, and on Valentine’s Day this year, after 20lbs down, on a day promoting love in all forms, not only did I feel good enough to take my shirt off, but the thoughts of what everyone else looked like didn’t even cross my mind. It was more like “Holy Hell its hot in here! This shirt is coming off!”. There was even some great self talk-seeing things in the mirror that weren’t there a couple months ago.

When my thoughts did go to the other people in class, they were different this time. I thought - These people were all there for a reason. There is something they want to better in themselves, and just because (from my perspective) they didn’t need to “lose weight”, doesn’t mean someone wasn’t there to increase their cardio abilities, work on their strength, etc.

So the moral of the story is, if it’s hot in class and you feel like you need to strip down to you bra- just do it! 💪 not to mention-I had a way better workout being able to see what my body was doing instead of it behind his behind a baggy shirt. 😉 Big thanks to @jrfeldman for creating such a motivational, inspirational space that facilitate nothing but positive thoughts even during a gruesome, ass kicking workout. 🙌

Good morning beautiful people! ☀️ Oatmeal and blueberry muffins are two of my favorite breakfast foods... so it really is no surprise that these "Blueberry Baked Oatmeal Cups" have totally stolen my heart 😍 so simple to make, perfect for a yummy grab and go breakfast, & the perfect healthy fix for my sneaky little sweet tooth 😉 I am not kidding when I say that this whole batch was devoured in one day...🤷‍♀️

BLUEBERRY BAKED OATMEAL CUPS
(Yields 16 muffins)
* 3 c. Oats
* 2 large overripe bananas, mashed
* 1 1/2 c. milk of choice
* 1 t. Baking powder
* 2 eggs
* 2 t. Vanilla
* 1 t. Cinnamon * 1/3-1/2 c. Maple syrup (optional)
* 1 c. Blueberries (I used frozen)
Directions: Preheat oven to 350F. Mix all ingredients together and fill your greased or lined muffin tins with the batter. Bake for approx 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Enjoy!!! ❤️

Have you ever seen or tried Romanesco? This veggie has me mesmerized in its spirals. Romanesco broccoli, also known as Roman cauliflower, has a natural fractal pattern which is actually a Fibonacci sequence. Fibonacci, or the golden spiral, is also known as the golden ratio. This vegetable dates back in Italy to the 16th century. So cool.

I’ve definitely been feelin’ the smoothie these days, but I can’t go too long neglecting my beloved oatmeal bowl 💘 I’ve also learned a few new tricks to amp it up even more!

I used to only soak steel-cut oats the night before, but this time I soaked regular rolled oats and the result was EXTRA CREAMY heaven 🙌 I’ve also been adding 1 tbsp each of chia + flaxseeds to help keep me fuller longer (I sometimes find that oatmeal doesn’t fill me up as much as a loaded smoothie🤷🏻‍♀️). I topped this bowl with pistachios, organic blueberries, a drizzle of maple + a pooool of peanut butter 🏊🏼‍♀️🥜 nothing better on a cold day! happy tuesday loves 💕

Did you know gyms are the busiest in January. Why? New Years resolutions. Why don’t they stay busy? Because people set too big of GOALS, they are not realistic and are too hard so they stop or give up!

So start small. If you are not active at all start with a goal of 1 30 minute workout a week, once you do that then change it to 2 30 minute workouts a week.

I love helping my clients set goals and watch them achieve them and get results not only physically but in their home life, mental health, worklife. I have clients tell me they have better SEX, more patience with their KIDS, excelling at Work, better relationships. That wasn’t their goal but it happened because they achieved their goal.

Why do I say that? 13 POUNDS DOWN!! My nutrition plan has never been this SIMPLE. Gang I’ve had a “cheat meal” EVERY WEEK (Italian, Texas Roadhouse, German, Pizza, deserts, you name it and WINE). I eat Carbs EVERY DAY. I’ve only worked out 5 times this YEAR (I know I need to do better) but I’m down 13 lbs of BODY FAT in 6 weeks without stressing, without STARVING, without a bunch of meal prep. I’m looking more toned and I’m not FREAKING working out. Makes no sense. But it works. I’m the happiest with my nutrition plan I’ve been in 8 yrs of being a “fitness” person. This I can do... Go ahead, ask me what I ate yesterday... Fooooood. .

The funny thing about starting a business centered on a passion is that once your business does well and you grow, eventually hiring multiple people and scaling in different ways, you can sometimes get further and further away from that thing you were passionate about to start with.

In my case, I dropped out of law school after my first year to pursue Pilates as a career (kinda nuts, I know), and quickly turned it into a business. I LOVE Pilates. It changed how I relate to my body and empowered me in so many ways (I could write a whole separate post about that), and wanted to share that with as many ppl as possible. Fast forward to nearly six years after opening @mntstudio, and I now only teach a handful of classes a week and focus most of my time on the big picture sort of stuff. For me, this works. I nerd our over business-type things and think my brain needs that balance between creative and strategic, but I know I’ll never give up teaching. It feeds my soul in so many ways and reminds me of why I started @mntstudio in the first place.

To make the sweet potato toasts: Cut potatoes length-wise into 1/4” slices and bake with a little olive oil and sea salt in a baking sheet at 400 for 15-18 mins.

Number ✌️ topped with smoked salmon, onion greens, and a gooey sunny side up egg. Feeling full and fueled and off to get a few groceries !

Ali veš, da si po vsaki zmerni do intenzivni vadbi bolj srečen/a? Vsaka vadba v telesu sproža endorfine, ki so tako imenovani hormoni sreče. V študijah so prišli do spoznanja, da lahko gibanje pomaga tudi pri tistih, ki se spopadajo s klinično depresijo in do določene mere lahko celo nadomesti antidepresive. Ko se počutite še posebej slabe volje in na tleh, je potrebno zbrati moč in se razmigati... 👏😊 V kolikor si torej dvomih kdaj začeti z vadbo, mislim da imaš odgovor na dlani. Takoj! Bottled water is huge in the United States because we are always on the run.

Not only is it important to know what’s really in your bottled water (some aren’t exactly so clean), but it’s also important to know what type of plastic your water is contained in.

If possible, opt for glass, or boxed water. If you need to reach for plastic, look for a number at the bottom. 
Recyclable plastics are marked with numbers 1-7. Only numbers 1,2,4 and 5 are considered acceptable.

Try not to drink out of waters with other numbers, as they most likely contain BPA or PVC in the plastic, and this can be released into your water.
