Heterosexual Flag!
(Yes, I am aware some people use this flag to promote homophobia. However, most straight people just use it to display their sexuality)

Term coined by: Károly Mária Kertbeny in the 19th century

There is no meaning for the individual colors but the colors are supposed to represent the idea that Hetero people swing one way or the other.

For those wondering "But straight isn't LGBT. What are you doing dude?" Straight people can be LGBT. If they're a straight trans person, they're LGBT. If they're straight and cis but their romantic orientation isn't Heteroromantic, they're LGBT.

Autosexual Flag!

Autosexual: Being sexually attractive to one's self
Term coined by: "Bernard Apfelbaum"

Flag by: "aturinfortheworse"

Red (optional): Love/sexual attraction

Blue: (My source on this one was confused so here's my theory) Light blue is often associated with "understanding" (http://www.color-wheel-pro.com/color-meaning.html) so perhaps this could represent the level of sexual understanding in oneself.

Grey: The connection to the Ace/Aros

Abrosexual Flag!

Abrosexual: Sometimes referred to "sexually fluid", this sexuality is constantly changing and the person is aware of this.

As popular as this flag is (compared to other flags), nobody seems to know what the colors of this flag mean. The flag was created by Tumblr user "Mod Chad" after an anonymous user asked "could you guys possibly make an abrosexual pride flag?? maybe something along the lines of the typical five color flags that fades from #46D294 to white to #EE1766." (I think those numbers are just code for HTML colors) And from what I've seen, nobody knows why this person chose these specific colors.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what these colors mean in the context of this sexuality.

Any thoughts?

Bigenderfluid Flags!

Bigenderfluid: Having 2 genders that are fluid/flux or there is no boundary between them

There were SO many flags for this so I chose the most popular ones. Also, there was zero information about the meaning of these flags so these are my own theories. Most of these do not make much sense to me because Bigender is the feeling of having 2 genders, not 4 like a couple of these flags suggest. The only theory I have is that some Bigender people don't identify as both male and female. Some identify as having 2 NB genders and then when you add fluidity to the mix it gets quite messy and these flags are trying to be inclusive.
Flag 1) I think this flag was made to look similar to the Bigender flag with more layers to symbolize the fluidity of this identity. (See my Bigender post for more info on this flag)

Flag 2) I have no idea whats going on in this flag but here's an educated guess based on other flags I've researched:

Yellows: Nonbinary genders

White: Questioning/nonbinary

Pinks: Femininity

Grayish blue/light teal?: Masculinity

Purples: Masculine + feminine gender(s)

Black: Agender

Flag 3) Again, no idea.

Pink: Female

Orange: Slight feminine feelings

Yellow: NB

White: NB or questioning

Purple: Masculine + feminine gender(s)

Blues: Masculinity/Male

Flag 4)
Top 2 colors: ??? I have no idea how to even describe these colors but I think they just represent the fluidity of femininity because these colors fade into the pink

4th stripe (purple?): Masculine + feminine gender(s)

Bottom stripe (it looks purple but I think it's supposed to be a blue): Masculinity

5th flag) I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure this one out. I'm still unsure.

Purples: Masculine + feminine gender(s)

Gray: lack of gender?

Pinks: Femininity

White: Questioning/NB

Pangender Flag!

Created by "Pangendering"

There seems to be no meaning for each individual color which could be symbolic of multiple genders (unknown or known) that the person simply doesn't care about knowing.

According to Nonbinary.org: "based on the agender pride flag. The colors are very bright so that they represent the multiplicity of genders [because the white light, in the electromagnetic spectrum, is a combination of all colors.]" #lgbt #lgbtq #pangender #gender #dailyflags

Aromantic Flag(s) (A lot of flags I find will have no author or date because I can't find them. Sorry!) There's a lot of debate as to which flag is the official flag so I'm posting the 2 most popular ones.

Aromantic people experience no romantic attraction whatsoever. While they may feel sexual attraction, they don't experience romantic attraction.
Aromantic people are not emotionless. They feel love, just not romance. They'll hug and kiss but they won't do romance.

White: Allosexuals (Anyone who isn't asexual)

Grey: Demisexual (Same as demiromantic but for sexual attraction)

Black: Asexuality

Flag 2)

Black: Aromantics

Yellow: Lithromantics (People who experience romantic attraction only in theory) (this one kind of confuses me)

Grey: grey-Aromantic (an orientation somewhere between aromantic and romantic; for example, Greg only experiences romantic attraction sometimes because he's Grey-Aro)

There are many Bigender flags floating around but this one seems to be the most popular.

The source I got (the only one with color meanings available) gave their own theory because they couldn't find the actual meaning so this may not be entirely accurate.

Bigender folk usually identify as both feminine and masculine. This is different from Intersex because Bigender people (normally) weren't born with sexual characteristics of both sexes.

Pinks: Femininity

Intersex Flag!
Before we start: Intersex people do not necessarily have both a penis and a vagina. It may have happened to somebody but this isn't the case for all Intersex people. Being intersex simply means having sex characteristics of both male and female. This could be chromosomes, gonads, sex hormones (ex: testosterone), or genitals.

The Intersex flag was created by Intersex Human Rights Australia in 2013 to replace the classic pink, blue, and white flag. (While this flag is still seen, the yellow and purple has become the more recognizable one)

The organization describes purple and yellow as hermaphrodite colors and felt it represented the Intersex community well.

Non binary flags! (Im putting nb and gq on the same post because they're technically the same thing)

Flag 1) This is the Non-binary flag. It was created by Ken Rowan in 2014 because non-binary folk didn't feel that the genderqueer flag represented them well enough. The yellow represents gender outside the binary, the white represents those with many or all genders, purple for those who feel binary or fluid between the 2, and black represents the Agender community

Flag 2) This is the Genderqueer flag. It was created in 2011 by Marilyn Roxie. The lavender represents androgyny, the white for Agender folk, and the green represents nonbinary folk.

Asexual Flags!

The Asexual flag was created on AVEN after a number of designs were voted upon. The flag they decided on was flown on June 30th 2010. The black stripe is meant to represent Asexuality, gray represents the gray area between sexual and asexual feelings, white represents sexuality itself, purple represents community. Asexuals do not necessarily have to be aromantic. Some asexuals are biromantic,Homoromantic, heteroromantic, etc. Some asexuals are completely disgusted by the idea of sex while others just choose not to have sex.

Trans Flags!

Flag 1) The most well known Trans flag is the flag created by MTF Monica Helms in 1999 and was first flown in Phoenix Arizona in 2000. The baby blue/pink are symbolic of the traditional colors assigned to female/male babies. The white stripe is symbolic of transitioning, intersex, and nonbinary people.

Flag 2) This is the transfemimine flag. Transfem people sometimes do not fully identify as Transgender for various reasons. They may not feel fully feminine or identify as a woman but do not want surgery or hormones for personal/health reasons. This term is sometimes used for transgender women because they are on the feminine end of the gender spectrum

This term is sometimes used for transgender women because they are on the feminine end of the gender spectrum Flag 3) Transmasculine flag. Same thing as Transfemimine but for masculine identifying people. Bisexual Flag!

The bisexual flag was created in 1998 by Michael Page to create more visabilty for the B in LGBT. Fun fact, as little as bisexuals are represented accurately, they make up the largest portion of the LGBT community. The pink is meant to represent attraction towards the same gender, the blue for different genders, and the purple to represent attraction towards all similar/different genders.

Gay flags!

Flag 1) Inspired by the pink lesbian flag, this blue flag was created because the gay male community did not have their own general flag (general meaning all kinds of gay men not one specific type)

Flag 2) The term "Bear" is a gay slang term used by ususally hairy, muscular, and "rugged" gay or bisexual men. The flag itself was possibly made to raise awareness to this specific type of gay man and let other Bears know it's okay to break the gay stereotype

Flag 3) Twink flag. The term "Twink" is used for gay men with little to know facial hair, usually young (18-25), usually a slim to average build, and are quite attractive. (Twinks are known to be stereotypically blonde as well but I didn't think this was too important)

Lesbain flags

Flag 1) The most common lesbian flag, it's pink and red design was meant to apply to femininity. Sometimes a pair of lips is placed in the upper left corner to appeal to the "lipstick lesbian" type

Flag 2) Sometimes associated with the "butch" lesbain culture, purple has been long been associated with lesbianism. The black triangle was originally worn by women in Nazi concentration camps who were deemed anti-social by the guards for various reasons. Some reasons include being a feminist, refusing to bear children, being a lesbain, or being a prostitute. The double edged axe has been a symbol of power for hundreds of years and was adopted by lesbians to put on the flag in the 1970s

This "improved" pride flag was created by Daniel Quasar to be more inclusive. (The brown and black stripes for POC and the light blue, pink, and white for the trans community) The extra stripes were moved to the side because Daniel felt that the difference in meaning should be obvious to the viewer. There has been a lot of hate towards this flag, what are your thoughts?
