A la hora de elegir entrenar con máquinas o con accesorios es importante conocer la función que cumple cada uno de ellos, para utilizarlos sólo cuando realmente sean necesarios.

Lo ideal es alternar sesiones de entrenamiento en las que utilices unos u otros. Con las máquinas, te centrarás en una zona concreta de tu cuerpo, mientras que, con los accesorios, aunque realices un ejercicio determinado y aislado, siempre intervendrá el resto de grupos musculares.

Para que te hagas una idea de cuándo optar por uno o el otro, según tu condición física y tus objetivos, aquí tienes algunos ejemplos:

1️⃣ Si te inicias en los entrenos de fuerza y quieres mejorar el tono general de tu musculatura con relativa rapidez, las máquinas son una buena elección.

2️⃣ Si lo que necesitas es mejorar la técnica de ejecución de un ejercicio, es preferible optar por accesorios, porque mucha máquinas del gym hacen la mayoría del trabajo por ti.

I have been working out at the gym after 10pm for the last 8 months, So today I worked out early like I did when I first started lifting weights. On my way out I was approached by 3 people asking me what in the world was I taking and how in the hell did I get the body I have now!?my response was “hard work, proper nutrition, and dedication”, they remember me being very skinny. The picture on the left was 3.5 years ago and the picture on the right was taken a few days ago. I used to be really shy when I was that’s small, so it all started with me lifting a weight in the weight room, I instantly fell in love with lifting. It was a hard for me at first, however change is hard at the beginning, messy in the middle, and beautiful at the end!. I can say I am the most confident I have ever been in my entire life at this very moment!. I had a full on seizure last Saturday, and a absent seizure on Wednesday. It sucks, doctor has me pretty much on “bed rest” until we figure things out. So not much in the exercise department 🙄 hopefully this week is a better week. I want to kick this weight loss thing in the ass already!!! 💪

Front squats > Backs squats . I do them both but enjoy front squats more. I feel like you will always hit depth on front squats, I do need to work on tempo, I can descend a little slower. That was probably going to be it for the day, but this evening I felt like I was being a lazy bum so I went downstairs for an easy 5k. I usually split my workouts into 3 different days: legs and abs; chest, anterior and medial deltoids [front and middle shoulder], triceps; & back, posterior deltoid, and biceps. BUT it is important to never let your body get used to your workouts.

1️⃣ Swiss Ball Crunches
2S/30R with 60 sec rest [Make sure to get a full extension at the back and feel a stretch. As you come up exhale and squeeze]
2️⃣ DRAGON🐉FLAGS
3S/Failure [HARD... to modify bend your knees at a 90° angle and touch your toes at the bottom]
3️⃣ Hanging Leg Raises
3S/Failure [Exhale as your raise your legs and focus on getting a strong contraction]
4️⃣ Skullcrushers
3S/10-15R [If you are experiencing elbow pain, drop the weight and do a higher rep range until comfortable]
5️⃣ Cable Bicep Curls
4S/8-12R [Try to minimize body sway and keep your elbows pinned to your side]

A few from my work out today the start of my fitness journey is coming along nicely 😅

So after having the boys I kind of just said a big f u to working out and decided I was gonna eat whatever and enjoy every moment and just be happy hanging out but I recently realized I was swollen ( thanks to the dick at staters)  and needed a change to feel more confident in my skin for myself so this is the start of my journey in making that change. So this is day ☝🏽current height 5”3’ and probably won’t be growing any taller 😂 p.s. don’t judge my socks
